Aims of the Course:
The Mechanical Engineering
provides a solid foundation for professional engineering practice and further study in
Mechanical Engineering or many other related fields. The major requirements develop the
students ability to apply scientific principles in the design and analysis of
mechanical and energy conversion. Mechanical engineering covers a wide variety of
activities from engines, turbines, pumps and compressors, to heat exchangers and
pressure vessels, to boilers and steam systems, to hydraulics and fluid flow, to
dynamics and static's, to plant and manufacturing operations, to project engineering to
project management and several more.
Course duration for FULL TIME:
The Course for the Diploma in
Mechanical Engineering shall extend over a period of three academic years, consisting
of 6 semesters and the first year is common to all engineering branches.
Course duration for PART
TIME :
The Course for the Diploma in
Electrical and Electronics Engineering shall extend over a period of four academic
years, consisting of 8 semesters and the first year is common to all engineering
branches.
Eligibility for FULL TIME:
- For I year-Passed
10th/SSC/Matric /CBSC/ANGLO
- For II year (Lateral
entry) –Passed 12th science with Vocational/ Technical (or) 10th + (2 years I.T.I)
with appropriate specialization.
Eligibility for PART TIME:
- 10th pass + 2 years work
experience (OR)
- 10th pass + ITI with
appropriate specialization.
Vision
By imparting technical knowledge to
the budding students with knowledge in the basic science and make them full
blossomed persons with all round knowledge in physical, mental and intellectual
aspect to face any challenges successfully and make great achievements in the
growing global range.
Mission
To improve the students with knowledge
and skills in order to respond to engineering problems in the vast mechanical
engineering field. To encourage the students to participate
actively in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
To
update the students in advanced technologies by conducting guest lectures,
seminars and workshops.
