This quotation shows the whole truth about the importance
and meaning of water as the main source of nourishment. Its value cannot be
overestimated. It is essential for all life on this planet. In Sankara polytechnic
college we provide canned/bottled drinking water throughout the campus for all.
RO Purified Water Plant
Reverse Osmosis water plant was inaugurated on 14th November 2011 in our campus in
which we provide pure drinking water to the students. Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a
revolutionary water treatment technology that was first developed in the late 1950's as
a method of desalinating sea water. Also known as hyper filtration, reverse osmosis is
the process by which water molecules are forced through a 0.0001 micron semi-permeable
membrane through the use of water pressure. This membrane allows only microscopic water
molecules to pass through, filtering out almost everything else including 90-99% of all
contaminants in the water.
Atm
ATM is expanded as Automated Teller Machine. Or sometimes
we can also say it as Any Time Money machine, which is true in its sense. We can draw
money at any instance of time with the help of ATM, a day or mid-night, in emergencies,
or when we shop we need not have to carry cash; we simply apply the credit or debit
card, same like ATM card. The Sankara polytechnic college is proud to be associated
with IOB and the service is extended to students, staff and general public by the way
of providing ATM in the campus at Saravanampatty road opening.
Bus Facilities
The college has a fleet of new bus to cater the
transportation needs of students and staffs. They are servicing from prominent places
all over the city to and from college. The transportation wing of Sankara always aims
for safety of the students and staffs and hence experienced set of drivers are employed
to do this service. In addition to the government transport services the institution
provides special buses from all around Coimbatore city to our Polytechnic.
125 KVA Generator
To cater the shortage in power supply and during need the hour the institution
has installed 125 KVA Generator to provide 24 hours of power supply.
PAS
Public Address System implemented in our Campus in the year February 2014 for
the welfare of Students
CCTV
Closed Circuit Television Camera is fixed in our campus in all labs and Varandas
around 27 cameras were placed inside the campus.
